Lameness is now the most important issue affecting Dairy Farmers. It has the biggest impact on profitability but it's also completely within your control. We have many long standing customers who have extremely low rates of lameness with low trimming costs too.
We always tailor our services to your needs, we won't take any short cuts to get your herd to the standard you require. We ensure that we only perform services that you need of a frequency that works for you. We offer a bespoke service from annual whole herd trims to weekly half or full days and everything in between. Often we'll start by performing curative trims and once we have the required improvements switch to regular preventative trims.
We provide mobility scoring to new and existing customers. We find this a great starting point when planning to reduce lameness and increase profitability.
We use a rollover chute on which to trim our cows and have used this with great success over many years. Like most we started trimming on upright chutes but we found real benefits from switching to the rollover such as less stress and risk to the animal.
We've designed many products to help control a number of causes of lameness and we're able to add extra value to our trimming service by sharing these with you. We're currently seeing fantastic results from our new footbath product and protocol. This is just one of the many products that we use and provide to enable you to control and manage issues with minimal input but maximum impact.
